Wilma Finlay

Every Scottish cheesemaker will be deeply saddened to learn of the death of the pioneering and inspirational Wilma Finlay.
The dictionary definition of ‘indefatigable’ was written especially for Wilma and reads… ‘always determined and energetic in trying to achieve something and never willing to admit defeat’… but more importantly for those of us who were privileged to know her, Wilma was always cheerful, always optimistic, always had a friendly word for everyone she met. Someone once said ‘cheese is milk’s leap towards immortality’, and the legacy she created with David will live on in the Ethical Dairy model about which she was so passionate.
Our thoughts are with David and the family and friends who loved her – Wilma will be sadly missed.
